History

Founded in response to the Lebanese financial collapse, ABA is the social welfare function of Al Yarz Leisure Club. Established in 2020, we mobilize the community to provide necessary support for families facing financial struggles

Goals

- ABA works to encourage community action and support while promoting  impact of our dedicated fundraising workshop

- Abwab Beirut Established under ABA after the Beirut Port explosion

- Abwab Beirut Workshop creates handcrafted iconography and classes for artisans to fundraise ABA’s efforts

"ABA Educates" Program: Empowering through Education

- Supporting 45 Students: tuition assistance 
- University Scholarships: six are pursuing higher education
- Transparent Financial Aid: paying school fees directly to educational institutions

Food Box Collections: Fighting Food Insecurity

- Supporting 120 Families: ensuring they have access to nutritious meals.
- Community Engagement: program engages the entire community—from donors to volunteers—fostering unity and a shared sense of responsibility

Activities

Abwab Beirut Workshop

- Abwab Beirut Workshop offers art classes and craft workshops, bringing the community together to express through art.

- All proceeds from sales support ABA's initiatives, helping to fund educational programs and community support activities.

Recycling Initiatives

- promote sustainable behaviors within the community

- collect recyclable waste and create awareness about environmental

- sustainability through information resources and relevant programs

Events & Exhibitions

- seasonal community events and exhibitions to promote small businesses and local artisans 

- proceeds from stand sales and participant donations go towards ABA’s fundraising

efforts supporting educational and community programs.
